Summary: Ectropion is an eversion of the eyelid margin. This is a routine out-patient ectropion correction procedure (one eye only) Package. Surgical technique may involve cicatrix release and relaxation; horizontal lid tightening with lateral tarsal strip; anterior lamella lengthening with full-thickness skin graft; medial spindle procedure; lateral lid wedge resection; canthal tendon plication; lower lid retractor reinsertion. Entropion is an inversion of the eyelid margin; may affect either eyelid, although the lower lid is more frequently affected. This is a routine out-patient entropion correction procedure (one eye only) Package. Surgical technique may involve Quickert suture or thermal cautery, horizontal lid tightening with lateral tarsal strip procedure, Weis' procedure or retractor reinsertion, excision of scar, anterior lamellar resection or recession, tarsal fracture procedure. Tarsal graft from preserved sclera, ear cartilage, or hard palate, conjunctival, and mucous membrane grafts may be performed as add ons.

The Package Excludes:

  • Pre-operative studies such as laboratory tests, radiology studies, etc.;

  • Other charges not related to the procedures;

  • Charges for pre-op full eye examination of Php 1680 and OPD charges occurred prior to the surgery;

  • Charges for final booking and surgical preparation of Php 2240;

  • Take home medications and supplies;

  • Charges for the inpatient stays.

Patient Eligibility:

 

Patients with the following conditions are considered to be complex or high risk cases and will not qualify for the package:

  • Uncontrolled bleeding

  • Patients with underlying diseases such as uncontrolled Diabetes, hypertension, HIV, etc.

  • Uncontrolled Glaucoma

Package Price: US$ 465.00 per eye

Add-on Charges: US$ 280.00 for operation on both eyes

Philhealth: Local residents may avail of their Philhealth benefits. Please inquire about the requirements and your coverage. Preprocessing of complete requirements is required prior to booking.

HMOs: Local residents may avail of Philippine HMO benefits. Please inquire about the requirements and your coverage. An LOA is required prior to booking.

20% Senior Citizen Discount: Local residents may avail of their senior citizen discount for professional fees (itemized billing) only. Packages and IOLs are excluded.

Refractive Surgery: Philhealth, HMOs and insurance companies do not provide coverage for refractive surgery).

12% E-VAT: a 12% Expanded Value Added Tax is included in your bill. You may use your official receipt to claim your input VAT during BIR filing of income. Philippine law requires the collection of a 12% E-VAT for all services provided to the end user.

EYE REPUBLIC LOYALTY privilege card: Please read the terms and conditions.

International Insurance Providers: Calvo, Tricare and Blue Cross and 6 other international insurance providers may be used at Asian Hospital. Reimbursements may be claimed for Blue Cross and Bupa.  If your international insurance provider is not accepted at any of our facilities, fees are paid in advance and an official receipt together with a medical abstract and operative technique is given for reimbursement purposes. Refractive laser surgery is not covered by international insurance providers.

Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Visa Electron, and JCB): There are no card surcharges for professional fees (itemized billing). However, all packages (professional fee + hospital fee) and items purchased are subject to 5.5% surcharge. Two (2) valid government issued IDs with photo (driver's license, PRC license, passport, senior citizen card) are needed when using credit cards.
